The center of the fire looked like glowing metal, 5 and in the fire was what looked like four living creatures. In appearance their form was that of a man, 6 but each of them had four faces and four wings. 7 Their legs were straight; their feet were like those of a calf and gleamed like burnished bronze. 8 Under their wings on their four sides they had the hands of a man. All four of them had faces and wings, 9 and their wings touched one another. Each one went straight ahead; they did not turn as they moved.

10 Their faces looked like this: Each of the four had the face of a man, and on the right side each had the face of a lion, and on the left the face of an ox; each also had the face of an eagle. 11 Such were their faces. Their wings were spread out upward; each had two wings, one touching the wing of another creature on either side, and two wings covering its body.

This project was quick- sorry if it's a bit sloppy. I'd been dying to make something like this ever since I did my last bible-related picture.

That's really cool. x) This is perhaps one of teh hardest to grasp pictures in all of Scripture.

I'm kinda disappointed with how it turned out. I get frustrated when I can't accurately portray something... But I doubt I could ever portray a heavenly being, no matter how hard I tried.
:icongcallus:
Yeah, a lot of people have tried this... and we can never be certian what it actually lloks like. After all, they were speaking in human terms.

Remember accuracy is not as important as the way a work makes the viewer feel. Sure it's good to get a piece exactly the way it is described. (by the way I don't think anyone would have an easy time getting a work based on description written all that accurate. Just ask anyone who's tried.) but honestly tell me this do you collect work because it is technically accurate or because of how it makes you feel. Do you get inspired by accuracy or by the way the sun melts into the mountains in a work. I'm going to say this I just added this to my collections and I will be doing so in my own art account as well. Not because it is technically correct but because it makes me feel inspired and I feel that you were inspired to create it.
